IcoMan is a handy tool for automating the process of creating program icons/items. It runs under Windows 3.x to Windows NT and 98.

IconMan is especially useful when You need to create the same Program Icons on several Workstations in a network. You just have to install the IconMan files on a shared network directory by extracting icoman21.exe (16 bit) or icoman32bit.exe (self extracting zips). Use icoman.exe to manage which Program Items/Icons that You want to be created. To create this defined Program Icons on a Workstation start iconizer.exe from the Workstation and click Run, or do it by starting iconize.exe (which requires no user actions) .

You may instruct the users to start iconize.exe. This program requires no user action. It simply creates all defined Program Icons. Iconize.exe may also be called from a login script that supports execution of windows programs.

The figure below shows how Icoman.exe looks. Icoman.exe is used to manage which Program Items that is going to be created.
